Brown is the new Beige

The reasoning behind the sudden uproar of chocolate-brown clothing in your feed recently.

Neutrals are nothing new for Autumn and Winter fashion. The past few seasons have been dominated by light beige colours and tans in both monochromatic dressing and within mix and match looks.

While brown has historically been one of the neutrals to avoid at all costs within the fashion industry, rich shades of cocoa and chocolate brown were recently displayed all over the A/W 2020 catwalks, from designers such as Bottega Veneta and Prabal Gurung who are known for making pretty much anything look chic.

The trend quickly translated into street style's latest "it" colour, and has stuck around ever-since due to the current preference of minimalism and natural beauty that we have all been embracing since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic

Although many do still love this trend, it is unsure whether it will translate into the summer seasons. So if you are wanting to invest in some luxurious brown pieces, it may be best to invest in just a few statement pieces of this colour that are easy to pair with multiple outfits, such as a puffer coat or leather trousers. So that you are able to wear it all winter long even when/if the trend does die out.

How long do you think brown will remain fashion's "it" colour?
